Jermaal Taylor

Realistic artistry is Jermaal Taylor’s passion. His attention to detail was noted early in his art pictures. Interpretation of his mind eye shows every aspect of his subject matter. In Jermaal’s early pictures, he zoomed in on the subject’s eyes and even then they seem to speak to him. With a medium of a pencil, he draws his viewers in to take a closer look.  The realism is put to the test. The viewer can determine whether it is a portrait or a drawing.

Taylor is a devoted Christian and his spirituality comes through in his vivid creations and strict consideration. His God given inspiration forms the foundation and poignant consideration of his subjects. His goal is not to draw a simple representational portrait, but to portray a deeper emotional connection that causes people to take a closer look.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1981, Jermaal Taylor started drawing at the age of 3 and gradually drew the attention of his family. His early art work was framed and displayed to give the young child encouragement…. and the rest one can say is history. The community embraced the young artist as he competed in contests and participated in art shows. Taylor’s artistry work has been used to enhance learning and has been placed in educational curriculum. He has also been instrumental in helping other art students.
