Art class was always my favorite time in every grade especially through high school. I had a great art teacher that was an amazing mentor. I took every art class with him available in high school. That is when I first realized that I could draw.
I guess you could say I was “self taught”, but I like to think I was blessed with an amazing gift. I just sat down one day and found a picture of a dog and wondered if I could draw it. My pencil flowed very easily on the paper and the next thing I knew, I was looking at a dog that I just sketched! I loved the fact when I draw, I go to this special place where you can be yourself, where you can absolutely let everything go and everything will be fine.
I have done many drawings and have either gave
them away or paid with a favor. As time has gone by, I realized I
could make a living from it. They always say, find a job that you
love to do and do it wholeheartedly.
I have had some artwork recently published in a book. What an
amazing experience! I found I wanted to do more and I still have a
long way to go to do everything, but it's worth every step I take.
Below is some of Sheila's art.
Bird Art: This
picture I wanted to do something different. I wanted to show the
bird on the post but then decided to add the sky with the black eyed
Susan's in the middle for an abstract picture.
Little Girl:
This was a gift from a dear friend/client of mine that wanted to
give the gift of art to her family.
Mike Tramp:
He is actually the lead singer for the group "White Lion". I was
lucky enough to meet him backstage and get his autograph. So I
thought a nicely framed picture of him would go great with the
autograph.
Puppy: This
picture I wanted to for myself. I loved the great detail with the
fur and wanted to create that in a sketch. I love pictures with
great detail!
