Traci Bixby
In the early 90's, I found my way
to Seattle's School of Visual Concepts. At this incredible school,
under the guidance of working artists, I took every class I could
from oil painting, to color theory, figure drawing to pastel. My
heart truly soared when I discovered watercolor.
Painting with watercolor brings me such pleasure and joy. My hope
is that when people see my work they feel some of the same joy that
I felt in creating it. My inspiration comes from the simple beauty
of my surrounding world. I love to finish a painting and see how
the final piece creates a life of it’s own. Patterns repeat and
colors emerge. An entire world has been created and I enjoy
watching others share in that new time and place.
