Tim has been an aspiring artist since he was old enough to pick up a pencil.  He is fortunate to have the support of everyone in his life; family and friends.  Living in Austin is an inspiration in it's own because of all the interesting and fun people around him.  He is currently enrolled at Austin Community College and is excelling in the wonderful art program that they have there.  His favorite medium, and the thing he does best, is pencil; and he loves drawing portraits.

Tim is passionate about capturing the lifelike quality that can be seen in his portraits.  This, being his first real opportunity to do illustration in a real life setting, has been a fun and unexpected journey.  He knows that this is something that he would love to do for the rest of his life, and he is well on his way.  Such a young man and already living the dream, that is all anyone could ask for.

A Selection of His Work

SO MUCH BEAUTY...
The original size is 18"x 24" It's my tribute to one of my favorite movies of all time "American Beauty". I'm very passionate about film as well so I've been wanting to do a piece for this movie for a long time.  And I really feel that I captured the essence of everything that It meant to me. It's a must see!!! - Timothy

BLACK TEARS
The original size is 18"X 24" this is a portrait of my girl Natalie. I kind of fell in love with the idea of the way tears look when mascara runs hints the title "Black Tears" not that I enjoy making her cry or anything... Yet she still looks beautiful. Don't you think? - Timothy

joker

THE JOKER
The original size is 18"x 24" I did this one for one for a final in one of my college art courses. I always new I would do this one.  In my opinion there's no reason not to, that performance couldn't keep my pencils away from the paper! - Timothy

LONE LEAF
Honestly I don't have much to say about this one because I don't even like still life drawings but, somehow I feel that I managed to push through and create something I am definitely proud of.  - Timothy

boyThe Boy Who Hated Being Black Story by Reba McIntyre-Kindred, Illustrations by Timothy Stafford

This is a tall fable about two young boys who grew up in the South.  They were identical twins, but even though they were identical, everyone could tell them apart.

One day Sunny and his brother Bubba ran across this magic fish that was dying.  They threw the fish back into the water and saved his life.  The fish was so grateful that he gave each of them a wish, and Sunny’s wish was to have the magic fish change his color to another color.  The fish granted Sunny his wish.

Have you heard the saying, “Going from bad to worse?”

That is exactly what happened to Sunny.  Read this exciting fun tale and see how Sunny overcame his obstacles.

uiet Rhymes is a book of poems that is designed for everyone.  It is a mixture of prose and rhyming poems.  Some of these poems are serious and some of them are so funny that you will find yourself laughing all the way through the verses as you read them.  Some tell short fiction stories while others get right to the point.  There is certainly reading in this book of poems for everyone.
