Mr. Bourgeois has written on a variety of subjects and using a wide selection of styles. His first story $200 Alan, based on a true story, was published in 1990 in a California Prison newsletter. That initial thrill from writing that story set him on his current path.

Over the years Mr. Bourgeois has written articles for newspapers and magazines, plus, short stories and fantasies. In 1997, he began to write his first book,
GAPH: God's Army to Purge Homosexuality, based on a true event. It only took the author a few weeks to complete ¾ of the initial draft. However, due to his own personal fears, it would take him another 3 ½ years to finish the book, in the winter of 2002.

Mr. Bourgeois grew up in Los Angeles, but was born in Houston, TX, where he lived from 1990 to 2009.  He then moved to Austin, TX where he plans to make the city his last place of residence.

Faced with hard time in the worst prison for a crime he didn’t commit, one man is able to change the lives of many people, with little regard to his own personal well-being.  This is what true humanity is all about: doing what is right for the whole, not for the one.    This drama shows you what a real prison can be like, while at the same time giving you hope and understanding.   B. Alan Bourgeois has written another great story for our times.

Patients the Paramedic PupPatients the Paramedic Pup Created by Denise Wheeler, Story by B. Alan Bourgeois, Illustrations by Solomon Perry

Patients the Paramedic Pup is a wonderful tail of how through pain someone can find inspiration to create a toy that will help others deal with their pain.  Denise Wheeler while going through child birth realized that she needed something to hold onto to help divert her pain to.  Something that could not only take it, but bounce back better then her husband could.  Patients was conceived on that day and came into play during the birth of her next child.  But sadly, Patients was put aside as Denise raised her family.

But as any good idea can’t be kept under wraps for long, she mentioned it to a friend who took the idea and help create Patients the Paramedic Pup.  This simple and yet wonderful toy is now available for small children who need something cute and cuddly, can take their pain and bounce right back to be ready for them again if necessary.
