HOUSTON, TX – Author B. Alan Bourgeois, a man of many words was left searching for the right words to use recently when he was advised that his books; Spirit Never Dies and GAPH 2: The Readers were recently declined for publication on Apple’s store for iPhone and iPod.

Mr. Bourgeois had never expected a large corporation that had been known as Gay-Friendly would deny his works based on its contents.  Previously, Mr. Bourgeois book God’s Army to Purge Homosexuality had been denied publication by a small family run business based in Florida, but that did not prepare him for this type of rejection.

Apples’ reason for rejection read: “Thank you for submitting Spirit Never Dies and GAPH 2: The Readers to the App Store. We've reviewed (them) and determined that we cannot post this version of your iPhone application to the App Store because it contains objectionable content and is in violation of Section 3.3.12 from the iPhone SDK Agreement which states:

"Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apple's reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users."

Could Apple’s rejection be based on the empowerment of the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender characters in Mr. Bourgeois books?  Or the fact that Mr. Bourgeois characters are made from real people who live their daily lives doing extraordinary things?  Is Apple afraid that Mr. Bourgeois books help educated the general population to what being a Homosexual is like; their trials and tribulations; their love and happiness?  Or is Apple, Inc., falling to the pressures in California and elsewhere by those who wish for people to believe false concepts about Homosexuals?

Neither Spirit Never Dies or GAPH 2: The Readers contain obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content in the form of text, graphics, images or photographs, thus leaving someone to wonder why Apple would not approve books that offer affirmative and empowering stories for all to read.

No matter what the reason is Mr. Bourgeois will continue to lobby to have his books added to the Apple stores book list.  As a community activist, he knows how important it is for people to have access to the truth relating to the LeTs Bi Gay community.

You can purchase Spirit Never Dies, GAPH 2: The Readers or any of Mr. Bourgeois books at www.WizardCandP.com or any local book store.
