TAMPA - While most 6th graders will be busy this summer swimming and going to summer camp, one Bay Area girl will be busy launching her new book.
Eleven-year-old Lyrik Courtney's book "Nami and the Dragons" is coming to a bookstore near you.
It's an adventure story about an angel named Nami who goes on a rescue mission to find the rest of her angel friends.
"It's available on iPad and Kindle E readers," Lyrik said.
"Originally, the book was supposed to be 97 pages, but it's been edited to roughly 22 pages with smaller print," she adds.
Lyrik says the book is also available in Europe right now and will be available at Barnes and Noble bookstores too.
"Now we're working on a sequel," says Lyrik. "I feel more
mature and I feel like I could have done better and now I
know that I can," she adds.

In Lyrik's own words: "It's basically about an angel named Nami, and when her friends get kidnapped, she goes on a rescue mission to save them," Lyrik explained to the Fox Tampa Bay news.
